The Implant Torque Verification System (ITVS) is designed to prevent implant failure by providing a quick, easy-to-use, and cost-effective system to verify the accurate calibration of dental implant torque wrenches.

Improper torquing of dental implants is a leading cause of implant failure and can result from the dental torque wrench losing calibration with repeated use, being exposed to heat sterilization, and having incorrect factory calibration.
Torque verification has understandably been overlooked by most practitioners: existing solutions require investment in cost-prohibitive equipment for the dental practice or time-consuming verification by third-party labs.
The ITVS changes this: using a manual torque screwdriver (Manual Torque Verifier) that interfaces with Latchgrip, Hex, and Square implant systems, the ITVS can verify torque for both toggle-type and beam-type dental torque wrenches. The ITVS’s compact form factor allows for convenient storage at the point of use within the dental practice and enables practitioners to verify the accuracy of their torque wrenches on a regular basis without the expense of third-party testing.
The ITVS kit includes:
- Manual Torque Verifier
- Latchgrip Connector (1)*
- Square/Hex Connector (1)*
- SmartMarker – Nobel Biocare compatible (2)*
- SmartMarker – Straumann compatible (2)*
